Football stars of the future can begin their training before they are out of nappies thanks to a new workshop. Socatots teaches young children basic football skills such as co-ordination, flexibility and confidence with a ball. The programme involves a series of games designed to improve children’s understanding of number, letters, colours and shape recognition to provide an all-round development and learning scheme. Regional Co-ordinator Natasha Marris said: “Socatots is about using football as a vehicle to give very young children the confidence to deal with social situations as well as encouraging them to work as part of a team.” The Argus, February 06
