SOCATOTS South Durham/Darlington is celebrating the success of coach Natalie Gutteridge, after she represented the English Universities Women’s Football team at the 2010 British Universities & Colleges Sport Home Nations Championships in Edinburgh.
Not only did Natalie take part in the tournament, she came back with a gold medal, after the English team finished with more points than Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Over 600 student athletes competed in five different team sports over a three day period. Natalie, who plays for Sunderland Women’s FC, was invited to be part of the English team after impressing for Northumbria University.
Back from her success in Scotland, Natalie is excited to use all of her experience to help inspire the next generation of England internationals: "I eat, sleep, and breathe football. It's great to be able to pass on my enthusiasm for the game through coaching the SOCATOTS syllabus."
SOCATOTS South Durham/Darlington Head Coach, Jamie Hume, is very proud of Natalie’s success and everybody at SOCATOTS is happy to benefit from Natalie’s experience and commitment. |
