Socatots Toddle 2010

Socatots Hants is proud to announce the South Coasts 3rd Socatots Charity event held in partnership this year with Marwell Wildlife and Wave 105 Cash for kids Charity. The Socatots Toddle is unique as it is to raise money for children by children and all the money raised will go to a local child like Alicia Pannell from Gosport who in 2008 received a hydro bath and in 2009 received a wheelchair to help with her Cerebral Palsy after our events held at Marwell Wildlife and we would like to offer all children the opportunity to participate in a sponsored fun day which aims at helping children in our local area.

All of us at Socatots Hants are very proud that Marwell Wildlife has supported us to host our event at the park again this year on SUNDAY 18th JULY 2010, where will be holding our Socatots Toddle during the morning and for all our Brazilian Soccer School Pupils (children from 5 years to 16 years) a fun run in the afternoon both covering an approximate distance of 1 mile, as well as a host of family entertainment on the day. The Socatots Toddle will take place at 11.30am around a route of the park which will be led by our Socatots Mascot, Marwell's Monkey Mascot and the Socatots Hants staff and the Fun Run will take place at 1pm led by Brazilian Soccer School pupils.

We would like all Socatots and Brazilian Soccer School pupils taking part to wear either their official membership kit or come in fancy dress. The park is open from 10am to 5pm and all the family is welcome to join us.

All children who take part in our Socatots Toddle whether they walk or get pushed in a buggy will receive a goody bag and certificate on completion of their toddle as confirmation of their support for our very good cause.

Children under 14 years taking part in the march with a sponsorship envelope on the day will gain free entry to the park if produced at the main entrance gate. Adult ticket prices are £13 per adult, £11 OAP and £10 children with no envelope. Tickets can be purchased from Socatots Hants staff  and to order your tickets please contact Barbara on 01489 896867 or via e-mail: by the closing date of 1st July 2010.

Marwell offers a fantastic day out for all the family and is run by Marwell Wildlife, a registered charity dedicated to the conservation of wildlife and natural habitats both locally and internationally. We are very proud to have their tremendous support of our charity and equally proud that we can help them with their hard working charity as well, so come and have fun with us all at Marwell.

Craig & Barbara Piper & all the Socatots Hants staff.

SOCATOTS Representatives Gather for Coaching Course
Tuesday, 04 August 2009
Franchisees and coaches from around the globe gathered for the annual International Confederation of Futebol de Salao (ICFDS) coaching course, held in Leeds.John Farnworth

The event, held every July, saw representatives from nations such as Kenya, Singapore, Australia, America, Holland and Canada meet for practical and business sessions throughout the week.

SOCATOTS leaders and their coaches observed demonstrations of key aspects of the syllabus as well as taking the role of children within their sessions for a number of practical tutorials.

SOCATOTS is the world's first soccer-specific scheme, working with youngsters from six months up to five years to develop aspects such as numeracy, colour recogintion and motor skills. Founded in 2002 by Simon Clifford, the man behind the Brazilian Soccer Schools, the organisation has already made waves within the pre-school bracket, with many professional football clubs developing links with their local SOCATOTS centre.

Similarly, SOCATOTS continues to play a key role in the fight against obesity and the diseases this can cause, regularly partaking in Monkey March events amongst others.

This year's course followed on from the organisation's largest-ever growth, and coaches from the new franchises joined their more experienced counterparts in sessions that covered everything from core skills to one-to-one tuition.

Leading sports psychologist Damian Hughes was also on hand to lead a motivational seminar, while World Freestyle Champion and BSS graduate John Farnworth's demonstration underlined the potential rewards of hardwork and dedication.

On what was a terrific week at Trinity and All Saints campus in Leeds, head of SOCATOTS Mark Rasche said: "We had a brilliant course, with franchisees and their coaches joining the head office team.

"We enjoyed our most successful ever year over the last 12 months and to see how quickly each franchise is developing is a tribute to the tremendous franchisees, coaches, parents and children we have involved."
